Our comprehensive solutions allow our clients to fully focus on growing their businesses. Due to continuous expansion, we are looking for an Internal Accountant to strengthen our finance department.
Job Description
The Internal Accountant will be responsible for handling daily accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting regulations. You will collaborate with an external accounting service and act as the main point of contact for communication and information exchange. As a key member of the finance team, you will directly support financial operations and report to the Chief Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Activities:
- Daily recording of financial transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records.
- Preparing monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, suppliers, and clients.
- Preparing and reviewing outgoing and incoming invoices, as well as financial documentation.
Financial Monitoring & Reporting:
- Assisting in the preparation of regular financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
- Ensuring timely compliance with VAT, tax returns, and other financial obligations.
- Providing accurate and timely financial data to management for strategic decision-making.
Control & Compliance:
- Assisting in the implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Conducting regular financial data audits to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborating with external auditors and relevant authorities as needed.
Collaboration with External Partners:
- Communicating and coordinating with an external accounting service.
- Ensuring clear and timely information exchange between internal and external accounting.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and principles.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills in Croatian and English.
- High level of integrity, proactiveness, and willingness to learn.
